One Withdraws from Branson Alderman Race on Final Day of Sign-up

by: Scott McCaulley

The last day to sign-up for a place on the ballot for the Missouri April Municipal Elections actually saw one person drop out of the race for a spot on the Branson Board of Alderman.

Gary Groman, who had signed up to run for the Ward III Seat withdrew his name from the ballot Tuesday, leaving Jame Whiteis to run unopposed for the seat that will be vacated by Brian Clotts who did not sign up to run for reelection.

The other two incumbents will face challengers as current Ward I Alderman Bill Skains will be challenged by Willard Harris and Marshall Howden while Rick Castillon in Ward II will face a challenge from Jeff Seay.

April 7 is the date for the Missouri Municipal Elections.
