Missouri Troopers Work A Pair of Wednesday Morning Accidents

by: Scott McCaulley

As a band of Light Snow and Sleet was moving through the Lakes Region this morning, the Missouri Highway Patrol was working a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region.

The first accident happened around 7:20 in Barry County on Highway 76 east of Cassville when a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Rebecca Boyd of Shell Knob slid off the roadway and struck a tree.

Boyd sustained serious injuries while a 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of those injuries.

Around 8:15 this morning, one person sustains minor injuries as a result of a one vehicle crash in Stone County.

Troopers say the accident happened on Highway 86 west of Lampe when a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Kaci O’Neil of Lampe slid off the roadway and struck an embankment.

O’Neil sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox Medical Center Branson.
