The potential for Winter Weather has returned to the Ozarks as a mixture or Rain, Freezing Rain, Sleet and Snow is expected from early Wednesday morning to Friday.
As of 1:30, the National Weather Service in both Little Rock and Tulsa have issued Winter Weather Advisories that take effect early Wednesday morning and go through the day for all of Northwest Arkansas with the National Weather Service in Springfield following a couple of hours later posting Winter Weather Advisories in effect for most of Southern Missouri. The extreme southwest portion of the state including Barry County has the advisory beginning at 3:00 am Wednesday Morning while the rest of the region including the Branson Lakes Area will be under the advisory starting at Noon Wednesday.
Precipitation in both Missouri and Arkansas is expected to start as snow just before Sunrise Wednesday morning, and change over to rain during the afternoon before going back to a freezing rain, snow, and sleet mix overnight. The same pattern will follow on Thursday before precipitation eventually ends sometime on Friday.
