Harrison Coach Heads to Mountain Home to Lead Bombers Football Program

by: Sonny Elliot, KTLO

A man who has rebuilt three football programs in Missouri is the new head coach at Mountain Home High School. The Mountain Home School Board approved the hiring of Steve Ary on Thursday night at its regular monthly meeting.

The Thayer native compiled a record of 182-95 as a head coach at Willow Springs (76-42), Mountain Grove and West Plains (46-32, with 10 of those losses coming in the first two seasons). A 31-year coaching veteran, Ary spent last season leading Harrison’s junior high team to a 9-0 record.

Ary will leave the Harrison School District and begin work at Mountain Home by the end of the month.
