MSHP Works Accidents in Region

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a trio of accidents in the area over the last three days.

The first accident happened just after noon Friday in Barry County on Highway 39 south of Aurora when a dump truck and pick-up truck were both stopped traffic to make a left turn when a pick-up driven by 29-year-old William Walton of Buffalo hit the other pick-up from behind which pushed it into the dump truck.

Walton sustained minor injuries in the accidents while the driver of the dump truck, 36-year-old Cody Wicker of Crane was not injured. The driver and occupant of the other pick-up truck, 55-year-old Trinket Foster of Crane and 31-year-old Christopher Vincent of Aurora, sustained serious and moderate injuries respectively. All of the injured were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

A woman from Galena escapes with only minor injuries when her vehicle slid off Highway 76 at Red Rock Road and struck a ditch Saturday afternoon around 2:10. 37-year-old Mary Logan was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of her injuries.

A woman from Forsyth sustains moderate injuries around 5:30 pm Saturday when her vehicle slid across the center median of Highway 65 four miles south of Ozark and struck a tree. 24-year-old Shyla Kelly was treated for her injuries at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
