Strong System to Impact Region This Afternoon, Evening

A major storm with several possible impacts is approaching the Lakes Region.

Current Watches and Advisories in effect as of 11:00 Friday Morning :
Flash Flood Watch for the entire region today through tonight.
Flood Advisory for the James River at Galena in Stone County.
Tornado Watch for Carroll and Madison Counties in Arkansas and Barry County in Missouri until 6:00.
Winter Weather Advisory for Taney, Stone, Barry, Christian, and Douglas Counties Saturday.

Thunderstorms are expected to impact the region this afternoon and this evening with possible strong winds and isolated Tornadoes. Heavy Rain is expected with area agencies already on alert for possible rising waters.

Temperatures will drop overnight and precipitation will transition to a Wintry Mix that will eventually change to all Snow during the day on Saturday. Minor Ice and Snow Accumulations are possible in the Lakes Region with higher amounts possible further north.
