A pair of traffic crashes in Barry County keep Troop D Officers of the Missouri Highway Patrol busy Wednesday evening.
A SUV collides with a car attempting to make a left turn off of Highway 37 near Purdy around 7:35. The car, driven by 48-year-old Darrin Dodson of Purdy was slowing to make that left turn when the vehicle was hit from behind by the SUV, driven by 23-year-old Nicolas George of Cassville. George was taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora for treatment of his moderate injuries while Dodson sustained moderate injuries and two passengers in this vehicle, Emily and Esmeralda Dodson, each sustained serious injuries and were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
A woman from Newton County, Arkansas sustains moderate injuries in a single vehicle accident that happened around 8:40 on Highway 112 east of Cassville. The online accident report indicates the crash occurred when the car driven by 39-year-old Lori Greene of Deer ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Greene was taken to Northwest Regional Hospital in Bentonville for treatment of her injuries.
