Major Storm Forecast to Bring Heavy Rain, Possible Severe Weather and Snow

A wide variety of weather is in the forecast for the Lakes Region over the next couple of days.

Rain is expected to enter the region today with heavier rain in the forecast for Friday into Saturday morning. Flash Flood Watches will be in effect Friday for the all of Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas and the possibility of Severe Weather is in the forecast from late Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

After a strong Cold Front moves through on Saturday dropping temperatures into the 30’s, a period of a wintry mix including snow fall is expected with some minor accumulations possible. Most precipitation should be out of the area by Saturday evening.
