As of Wednesday morning, there are still over a dozen Water Systems in Northern Arkansas under Boil Orders after treatment interruption caused problems with the water supply in the region.
Currently, the only water system in Boone County under a Boil Order according to the Arkansas Department of Health is the Western Grove Municipal Water System that also serves customers in Newton and Searcy Counties. In Marion County, customers of the Lake Bull Shoals Water System are still under a Boil Order as are customers of the SPG Water System which also serves customers in Searcy County.
A total of nine other Water Systems located in Newton and Searcy Counties remain under Boil Orders as well. In Searcy County, the systems are Leslie, Morning Star, and South Mountain while in Newton County, the systems are Deer, East Newton, Mockingbird Hill, Mount Sherman, Nail-Swain, and Parthenon.
Customers in these water systems still need to boil water for three to five minutes before using.
