A man is in the Stone County Jail after being arrested in conjunction with a shooting incident that happened the day after Christmas.
According to a release on the Stone County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook Page,
Richard Greenway is jailed on 1st and 2nd Degree Assault Charges after he allegedly shot into a house on Crumpley Drive in the northern part of the county.
The incident happened just before Noon last Thursday as deputies were dispatched to Crumpley Drive in northern Stone County in reference to shots being fired and found that Greenway was the suspect that shot into the house.
After a warrant was issued for his arrest, deputies received information on Saturday that Greenway was at his shop on Night Shade Road around 12:30 p.m. The Stone County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team was called to the scene after Greenway refused to come out after Deputies first arrived on the scene. After approximately 2 hours, Greenway was talked into coming out and he was taken into custody.
A stolen truck from Neosho was also recovered at the scene.
