MSHP Works Accidents at Roaring River State Park, Silver Dollar City Sunday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region on Sunday at Roaring River State Park and Silver Dollar City.

The accident at Roaring River occurred around 9:35 am on Highway 112 when a car driven by 76-year-old Mary James of Eagle Rock traveled off the highway and struck a bridge. James sustained minor injuries in the crash and was treated for those injuries at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

The accident at Silver Dollar City occurred just after 12 Noon when a passenger on one of the trams at the park exited the vehicle before it stopped moving sustaining serious injuries. The injured person, 64-year-old Sandy Boatner of Lambert, Miss., was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
