Patrol Officers of the Missouri Highway Patrol work a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region Christmas Eve.

The first accident occurred just before 7:00 am in Taney County on Highway 265 a mile north of Branson. The Highway Patrol report indicates that 26-year-old Paige Roderman of Branson fell aleep while driving with her SUV crossing the center line and hitting a car head-on driven by 26-year-old Lilian Sanchez-Espiritu also of Branson. Roderman was not injured in the crash but Sanchez-Espiritu did suffer moderate injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The other accident happened in Stone County just before 1:00 pm on Highway 13 south of Lampe, where Troopers say a car driven by 52-year-old Kayleen Willis of Lampe was stopped to make a left turn when her vehicle was struck from behind by a pick-up truck driven by 48-year-old James Faust of Blue Eye. Faust was not injured but Willis did sustain minor injuries that were treated at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
