The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked several accidents around the region over the weekend.
Two pick-ups collide on Highway U in Stone County east of Highlandville Saturday afternoon. The accident report indicates the crash occurred around 1:15 when a pick-up driven by 32-year-old Francisco Lirbano of Springfield was making a left turn but failed to yield to a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Mathew Wilson of Marionville. Neither driver was injured but a passenger in Wilson’s pick-up, 18-year-old Skyler Seaman of Crane, sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
Later Saturday afternoon around 2:40, a two-vehicle crash east of Branson on Highway 76 injures one person. Troopers report an SUV driven by 50-year-old Jeffrey Bain of Branson was stopped to make a left turn when it was hit from behind by a pick-up driven by 20-year-old Jared Leonard also of Branson. Leonard sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
A pick-up vs. compact sports utility vehicle crash on Highway 160 south of Highlandville in Christian County injures six people. The pick-up, driven by 35-year-old Jorge Hernandez of Neosho was trying to overtake traffic and turn left off of the highway when it collided with the SUV driven by 18-year-old Clarissa Mace of Springfield. Hernandez and five passengers in his pick-up were all taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of minor injuries.
