Two frontal systems moving through the region will cause a variety of weather conditions over the next several days as many will be hitting the road for Thanksgiving Travel plans.

Strong winds will come in ahead of the first front with Wind Advisories in effect for all of Southwest Missouri this evening through Wednesday Morning with steady winds from 25-35 MPH possible with potential gust of 45-55 MPH.

In addition, a period of stormy weather is possible this evening between 6 pm and Midnight in both southern Missouri and northern Arkansas with severe weather possible.

After a break in the weather Wednesday afternoon and evening, potentially heavy rainfall is possible beginning Thanksgiving Day and continuing through Saturday with a potential of 2-3 inches of rain possible that could lead to minor flooding.

Hometown Daily News will keep updating the weather situation throughout the week.
