A key bridge linking the eastern part of Taney County over Beaver Creek and Bull Shoals Lake has reopened.

MODOT released a statement that the Highway 160 Bridge reopened to traffic on Tuesday afternoon after it was closed last Friday following an inspection which detected deterioration of bridge supports.  Crews have fortified the support structures and made the bridge safe for traffic.

The bridge will be completely open to traffic through the Thanksgiving weekend but crews will complete some final work on the bridge next week and possibly the following week. The bridge will remain open but will be down to one lane during the work which will cause delays.
