Branson voters could see a proposed use tax on the ballot once again.
According to a staff report from the City of Branson, a use tax rejected by Branson voters in 2018, would be applied, instead of the local sales tax, on out-of-state transactions, including online, catalog and direct market sales.
Officials considered putting the use tax on the ballot again in November, but decided to hold off, citing a need to get more information to the voters. It is not known yet when the issue will appear on the ballot again.
