Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Collections Continue This Week

Several locations in the region continue to collect Shoe Boxes for the annual “Operation Christmas Child” drive conducted by the group Samaritan’s Purse which helps send the Shoe Boxes to young people in need around the world.

Real Ministries, located on Spring Street in Harrison, is collection site for Boone County. A press release from North Central Arkansas Operation Christmas Child states they hope to collect over 13,300 gifts during this year’s drive.

“I love seeing the local community rally together for a global impact,” states Shari Alexander, North Central Arkansas Area Coordinator in the press release. “We see all ages getting involved – and more and more every year.”

Among other area churches participating in Arkansas include Refuge First Latin American Church in Green Forest, Northview Baptist Church in Marshall, First Baptist Church in Huntsville, and the Yellville Church of Christ.

In Missouri, drop off locations include Grace Community Assembly in Branson, New Beginnings Fellowship in Hollister, First Baptist Church Forsyth, First Baptist Church Kimberling City, First Baptist Church Cassville, Ava Assembly of God Church, and New Site Baptist Church in Monett.

Drop offs at most locations will be accepted daily through next Monday. Go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/ for more information about drop off locations and other information about donating to Operation Christmas Child.
