Citing health reasons, Forsyth Mayor Eddie Coleman announces at Monday’s Forsyth Board of Alderman Meeting that he is stepping down from office.

Forsyth Focus on their Facebook Page through a link from the original story from the Branson Tri-Lakes News reports Coleman stated at Monday’s meeting that since suffering a stroke in October, family members have encouraged him to move closer to them and said he is going to move to near Taneyville at the first of December.

Coleman has been Forsyth’s Mayor since 2013 and just got elected for a fourth term last April.

The Forsyth Board of Alderman will appoint a mayor in December and then have an election next April to fill the vacancy for the final year of his term.
