The Missouri Department of Transportation will be working on two bridges in the Lakes Region, one for the entire winter and one for just a day.
Beginning today, the Railey Creek Bridge on Highway 248-413 between Reeds Spring and Galena will be closed for possibly up to four months as the bridge will be replaced. While all properties on either side of the bridge can be accessed, the bridge itself will remain closed to traffic. Detours have been posted in the area including using Highway 160-13 and Highway 176 to get between Reeds Spring and Galena.
Meanwhile, a day long inspection will close the northbound land of the Business 65-Highway 76 Bridge over Lake Taneycomo Tuesday between 8 am-4 pm for a routine inspection. The Lane will be closed between the Hollister Roundabout and Hensley Street in Branson. The southbound lane will remain open during this time as will the lower bridge between Hollister and Branson Landing Blvd.
