The Missouri Highway Patrol worked a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region Wednesday.
The first happened in Barry County east of Cassville around 2:00. Troopers say 82-year-old Shirley Fairchild of Shell Knob suffered a medical incident driving eastbound on Highway 76 when her car went off the left side of the roadway and struck several trees. Fairchild was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville for treatment of her moderate injuries.
The second accident happened in Taney County around 9:15 Wednesday Evening south of Saddlebrook when a car driven by 43-year-old Meada Spencer of Nixa hit a deer while driving northbound on Highway 65. Spencer sustained moderate injuries as a result of the accident and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
