The polls open at 7:00 this morning and stay open until 7:00 this evening as voters in Harrison have a final day to go to the polls and determine the fate of a pair of Sale Tax issues designed to help build and maintain a recreational facility.

The Boone County Clerk’s office reported on their Facebook Page that 1668 voters had taken advantage of early voting last week with that number not including any early voting that took place on Monday.

Voters today will have the final say on the proposed project includes the building of the center as well as several parks and recreation upgrades including baseball field improvements and additional walking trails. A temporary .75% sales tax will pay for the $39.9 million bonds to build the community center and a permanent .25% tax will maintain the center.

1029 the Z and BOOTZ Country 94.9 FM and AM 900 KHOZ will report the results as soon as they are released from the Boone County Clerk’s office this evening.
