The Missouri Highway Patrol works a pair of accidents in the Lakes Region during the day Monday.
The first happened in Stone County just after 10:15 am north of Carr Lane on Highway 39 when a car driven by 42-year-old Willie Jackson of Shell Knob ran off the road and struck a couple of highway signs and a fence.
Jackson and a passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Brittany Steen also of Shell Knob, sustained minor injuries that were treated at Eureka Springs Hospital.
Icy Road conditions contributed to an accident that injures two Stone County residents on Interstate 44 just before Noon. The MSHP reports the car, driven by 62-year-old Deborah Aulgur of Lampe, slid off the left side of the road into a median cable, then slid back on the right side of the road and struck a sign.
Aulgur and a passenger in the car, 39-year-old Rosina Robbins also of Lampe, sustained minor injuries that were treated at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
