After a very nice weekend in the Ozarks, Monday will see a strong cold front coming through bringing rain with freezing rain and snow mixed in as the temperature drops.
Area weather sources including the National Weather Service, the Ozarks First Weather Lab, and Storm Dar Weather all believe that rain will begin late Sunday evening and through the overnight hours with the temperature drop below freezing not expected into Monday afternoon. There will be a chance of some mixed in snow and possible freezing rain during that time with a period of snow expected late afternoon into the evening.
Little if any accumulations of ice or snow are expected however temperatures are expected to dip into the teens Monday night with the high Tuesday expected to be around freezing.
