Fall Food Drive 19

Thanks to the collection of food and money plus a matching grant from the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, the 1029 the Z Food for Families Fall Food Drive collected around 90,000 pounds of food to be distributed by the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.

The total includes 10,000 pounds of food collected at various sites around the Harrison area over the last 10 days as well as cash donations.

Jeff Quick of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas says the total food and money collected over the food drive converts into 75,000 meals that will benefit several food pantries in Boone and Newton Counties.

Ozark Mountain Media Group which includes 1029 the Z along with the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas wish the thank the businesses who hosted collection sites as well as the sponsors who helped make it happen as well as the people and organizations from the region for their food and cash donations.
