The Sunday Night and early Monday Morning Storms that roared through the Ozarks caused major power outages including many in the Carroll Electric Cooperative.

A release on the co-ops website Tuesday afternoon indicated over 7600 customers were still without power, though most of the customers in Carroll County as well as in Missouri were expected to get power back by the end of the day Tuesday.

According to the release, a total of 245 power poles were knocked down or damaged due to the storm. A few employees of neighboring North Arkansas Electric Cooperative made the trip to Northwest Arkansas Tuesday to assist the Carroll Electric Technicians.

The co-op says much of the remaining damage is in Benton County and it could take till the end of the week to have power restored to some of those areas.
