Around the Lakes Region, two area High Schools celebrated Homecoming Football games on Friday night.
The Annual Backyard Battle in Reeds Spring was also Homecoming Night for the Wolves as they jumped on Hollister early and built a 27-0 halftime lead then cruising to a 35-14 win over the Tigers.
The other Homecoming Game at Branson turned into a battle as two teams that have been fighting injuries matched-up as the Pirates hosted the Carthage. While the visiting Tigers had some chances in the first half derailed by penalties and a turnover, neither team could score in the first half with the Pirates taking a third quarter lead on a Dalton Muenchau to Ethan Jones 27 yard touchdown pass, but Carthage answered with a punt return touchdown plus another drive later in the quarter to pull out a 16-8 win.
Forsyth played strong against Pembroke Hill at home but the visitors from Kansas City eventually got the offense going and rolled to a 35-0 win over the Panthers.
In Arkansas, the Harrison Goblins remain undefeated as they role to a 49-3 win at Clarksville. The Goblins scored 14 in the first quarter and added 21 in the second period to role to their sixth win in as many games. The night was tougher for Berryville and Green Forest as they both fell in conference play, the Bobcats 56-0 at Shiloh Christian and the Tigers 55-14 to Prairie Grove.
