BRANSON, Mo – The Branson Parks and Recreation Department is once again partnering with the Branson Daybreakers Rotary Club to invite area youth to enjoy a catch and release fishing tournament at its annual Kid’s Fishing Derby. The Derby will be at the new fishing ponds at Eiserman Park on Sunday, Oct. 6 2019, from 1-5 p.m.
Fishers will be divided into 3 age groups:
- 3-6 year olds will fish from 1:00-2:00pm
- 7-10 year olds will fish from 2:15-3:15pm
- 11-14 year olds will fish from 3:30-5:00pm.
Prizes will be awarded in each age group. The event is limited to 75 participants per group, and the fee to participate is $2.00 per fisher. You can register at the Branson Community Center the day of the event.

The ponds at Eiserman Park were recently re-stocked as part of a new youth fishing program, called “Discover Nature Fishing.” This program is a partnership between the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Branson Parks & Recreation Department to provide FREE weekly fishing opportunities for area youth who may not have access to fishing equipment.
