Two accidents in the region Thursday injured several people:
The Missouri Highway Patrol along with Branson Police and Fire Personnel with additional help from Western Taney County Fire and Taney County Ambulance joined forces to work a two vehicle accident on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway that closed the road for a time.
According to the Highway Patrol Accident Report, the crash occurred around 9:50 Thursday morning when a vehicle 43-year-old Shawn Keller of Branson crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Hunter Hall of Taneyville. According to photos posted by the Branson Fire Department, the accident caused Hall’s vehicle to overturn.
The Highway Patrol reports both drivers were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment with Keller sustaining serious injuries and Hall suffering minor injuries.
Meanwhile the Highway Patrol worked another accident in the Lakes Region Thursday evening.
The accident occurred around 7:50 on Highway 39 north of Jenkins when a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Robert Utter of Shell Knob swerved off the roadway to avoid a vehicle, then return to the roadway skidding across the center line striking a vehicle head on driven by 60-year-old Michael Boardman of Eureka Springs.
Utter sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Cassville while Boardman and two passengers in his car all sustained minor injuries that were treated at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
