MSHP Works A Pair of Accidents in the Region Wednesday

The Missouri Highway Patrol works accidents in the morning and evening around the region Wednesday:

A man from Wisconsin escapes with only minor injuries after losing control of his motorcycle after trying to avoid deer in the roadway. The accident occurred around 10:30 Wednesday morning in Eastern Taney County on Highway 125 south of Bradleyille when 73-year-old Lawrence Mayhew try to avoid hitting the deer and ended up traveling across the roadway and getting ejected from his motorcycle. Mayhew was taken for treatment of his injuries to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

Two people are injured in a two vehicle crash in Barry County near Eagle Rock around 8:00 Wednesday Evening. The MSHP Report indicates that accident happened when a mini-van driven by 79-year-old Jerry Titus of Cassville pulled out in front of a car driven by 27-year-old Heather Thomas of Eagle Rock. Titus was not injured but Thomas and a passenger in her car, 69-year-old Sammy Miller also of Eagle Rock, sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers for treatment.
