Weekend Review: Branson Volleyball Takes Title, Blue Eye Girls Take Another Cross Country Title

Some of the events from over the weekend involving schools from the Lakes Region:

-The Branson Lady Pirates Volleyball team took home the championship in their own tournament for the first time in several years as the Lady Pirates navigated Pool Play and eventually made their way to the Championship Match where they were able to hold off Rockwood Summit in three games to take home the title.

-In a match at Branson High School, the Soccer Pirates raise their record to 2-1 with a 6-4 win over Monett.

-In the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association meet in Bolivar Saturday,  the Branson teams take 6th (Boys) and 7th (Girls) in the Class 4 Competition. Other area schools in the meet included Blue Eye, who took home First in the Girls Class 1 Competition with Riley and Avery Arnold finishing 1-2 individually. The Arnolds also finished 2nd and 5th respectively in the overall competition. In Class 1 Boys, Ryan Cardenzana of Blue Eye was 1st, Titus Thompson of School of the Ozarks was 2nd with the teams finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.
