Three people are injured, one seriously, in a two vehicle crash north of the Christian/Taney County Line during the Noon Hour Monday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the accident involved two Jeeps as one driven by Mitchell Stafford, 18 of Hollister, failed to yield to another Jeep driven by Jeremy Ennis, 33 of Springfield resulting in a collision causing Stafford’s vehicle to overturn in the median.

Stafford sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment while Ennis and a passenger in his Jeep, John Griffin, 37 of Sedalia, sought their own treatment for minor injuries.

According to a post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District Facebook Page, their department was called in to assist the Highlandville Fire Department in working the accident that closed Northbound 65 for a short period of time.
