Normally this time of year is a relatively quiet for Branson High School except for occasional summer camps. But the schools fields were full of activity on Thursday.
Besides the USSSA Softball World Series with Branson hosting games along with Hollister High School and the Branson Rec Plex, the practice fields as well as Pirate Stadium were busy as 24 teams participated in the Second Annual Border Battle 7v7 Football Tournament.
The event is in partnership with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Scholastic 7v7 series and is sponsored by BSN Sports as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. All proceeds will benefit the Branson School District’s youth football program.
The host Pirates were joined by the Harrison Goblins and several other schools in the region. Glendale and Bentonville were the winners of their respective divisions winning the titles for 2019.
