Two Reeds Spring schools earned awards for their implementation of School-wide Positive Behavior Support, which is a way to encourage good behavior by students.
Reeds Spring Primary School and Reeds Spring Elementary School both received gold-level recognition, the highest achievement possible. Staff members from both schools were honored this past Tuesday at the 14th Annual MO SW-PBS Summer Institute at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.
In addition, Reeds Spring Primary School received the Dr. Mary Richter Award, which honors one school that exemplifies the ideals, principles, and practices of positive behavior support.
SW-PBS is an evidence-based, proactive approach to teaching and reinforcing positive behavior in students, thereby improving student behavior, creating safe schools, and maximizing instructional time and student engagement.
