A traffic accident late Wednesday afternoon results in only one minor injury but did cause some traffic issues for motorist heading home from work.

According to the Western Taney County Fire Protection District in a release on their Facebook Page, the accident on F Highway at Eagle Pass near Bull Creek forced the road to be closed for a while forcing motorist using that route to get between Highways 65 and 160 to find an alternate route, including 160 through Walnut Shade.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the accident involved four vehicles and occurred around 5:35. A truck traveling eastbound and driven by Kreg Sloan, 47, of Rockaway Beach failed to see traffic stopped ahead of him and ran into the rear of a vehicle driven Nicholas Zigmund, 23, of Merriam Woods.   Sloan’s truck then continued on moving into the westbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Emily Linderer, 27, of Branson before Sloan’s truck was hit by a vehicle driven by Thomas Bohannon, 56, of Forsyth.

Linderer was the only person hurt in the accident. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of minor injuries.
