CAM Doubling Available Space to Better Serve the Needs of Clients

(Forsyth, MO) — Christian Action Ministries announces the expansion of its ministry operations in Forsyth, providing for additional service to its clients located on the eastern side of Taney County.
“For years in our Branson location, we have been able to offer the help of Care Counselors, trained volunteers who sit down with each of our clients and uncover their needs, point them toward assistance while maintaining their dignity, and praying with them,” said Kevin Huddleston, Executive Director at Christian Action Ministries. “Until this expansion, we have not had the space available to confidentially counsel with our neighbors in central and eastern Taney County. Now, Christian Action Ministries can better implement our mission of ‘Sharing and Caring in Christ-like Love’, rather than limiting our service to just a food pantry for those who need assistance.”
In 2018, CAM distributed more than two million pounds of food through 42,000 individual cases of assistance. Of this number, 17,000 (40%) were served by the Forsyth ministry location. CAM Board Chairman Larry Johnson is thankful for the opportunity to improve the facilities that provide this assistance.
“It has been our prayer since opening our Forsyth location that we could expand our services there for people who need them”, said Johnson. “We are now able to do that, plus make our new space available to other ministries and non-profit agencies to use to further help the people of central and eastern Taney County.”

Office Space Available for Other Service Providers
To make better use of available personnel and facilities, CAM is changing its hours of operation for its Forsyth location at 10726 East Highway 76 to 8:30 – 11:00am, Tuesday – Thursday. Plans call for expansion into Friday morning as more volunteers are available to fill out the schedule. During times when the Care Counseling rooms are not in use, CAM will make those offices available to other ministries and non-profits to further serve their clients from the eastern side of the county. Added CAM Board Member Brenda Neal, “Sharing the blessing of this additional space in Forsyth, at no charge to the participating ministries and non-profit agencies, is one more way we at CAM can serve our neighbors in Christ-like love.”
