College of the Ozarks Baseball Showcase Continues on Revised Schedule

by: Scott McCaulley

Rain forced a stop to the first day of the College of the Ozarks Baseball Showcase with games halted at C of O as well as at Branson, Forsyth, and Hollister High School Fields.

Games for the first day of the tournament were completed on Friday and the scheduled Friday games will be played on Saturday. Games at Branson will be played on the Artificial Surface Practice Field next to Pirate Park if the field is unplayable while games at Hollister will be moved to C of O if that field is unplayable.

According to tournament co-director Troy Nimmo, the revised schedule of the tournament will see the winners of each pool play in the semi-final and championship round Sunday at College of the Ozarks at times to be determined. Teams still wishing to play a cross-over game as was originally planned for Saturday will do so at Forsyth.
