Press Release

The S.T.E.P. Program (Summer Teen Engagement Program) is taking place this week.

Along with the help from Branson Public Schools, 10 students have been selected to participate in the program. Each of the students will be in the 9th grade at Branson High School this fall. All 10 have volunteered, along with parent permission, to participate in the program. Thanks to donations from local businesses, this program will be provided to the students at no cost.

The program will consist of a week long youth engagement to provide them a time of positive police interaction and mentoring while having fun at some local attractions. Included in each day will be discussion about life lessons such as leadership, integrity and character. Our goal is for the students to establish a relationship with the police officers throughout the week. Those officers plan to keep in contact with the students throughout their high school years and help them however they can to stay on the right track and succeed in life.

Special thanks to community partners, The Track Family Fun Parks, and Pizza Ranch for helping sponsor the program.
