Saturday’s Storm Damage Report

Posted by

Strong thunderstorm winds caused damage across a wide swath of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon.  The national weather service reported damage from the Lake of the Ozarks southward to Harrison, Arkansas.  Downed trees and power lines were common.  Three roofs were damaged in the Aunts Creek area near Kimberling City.  A shed collapsed near Bradleyville.  Perhaps the heaviest damage occurred in Hollister where the

B and L Outdoor power equipment building sustained heavy damage to its roof and siding. Hollister officials closed a portion of BB Highway until storm debris could be cleared.  Wind gusts of 60 miles per hour were recorded at the Branson West Airport.

White River Valley Eelectric reported over 2000 power outages after the winds blew through the region.
