A former Rockaway Beach employee has filed a petition against the city for sexual harassment.

According to the petition, filed April 19 in Taney County court, Branson resident Daniel McHugh accused an unidentified elected Rockaway Beach alderman of making inappropriate sexual advancements toward him, online media reports indicate. McHugh also said he feared being fired if he filed a sexual harassment claim, court documents state.

McHugh has since resigned from his code enforcement officer position with the city of Rockaway Beach, according to the court documents.
