2019 marks the sixth year of the partnership of Bass Pro Shops and the PGA Champions Tour in presenting the Legends of Golf Tournament at Big Cedar Lodge.
While Top of the Rock will be used as the base course for the tournament, 2016 will see the debut of the new Ozarks National Course at Branson Creek as the course designed by Bill Coore and Major Golf Champion Ben Crenshaw will be used for the the Pro-Am and the first two rounds of the tournament.
A preview of scheduled events:
-The Pro-Am Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday and Thursday at both Ozarks National and Top of the Rock. Among the celebrities scheduled to participate on Wednesday includes County Music Star Luke Combs while fellow Country Star Tracy Lawrence along with seven time Cy Young Award Winning Pitcher Roger Clemens will participate on Thursday. Tee times both days will be at 8:00 am and 1:30 pm.
-Also Wednesday, an event tied closely to the tournament and Bass Pro Shops takes place at College of the Ozarks as the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Dedication takes place at C of O at 2:00. Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris and Ben Crenshaw are among those schedule to attend.
-Ben Crenshaw will also take part in a ceremonial first shot of the tournament that will take place at Ozarks National Friday Morning at 10:00 before play opens in the tournament officially at 10:30 at both Ozarks National and Top of the Rock.
-Besides the second round of play Saturday again at both courses teeing off at 9:00 and the Annual Family Fun Day Event Featuring Dude Perfect starting at 5:00, a $50,000 Winner Take All Legends Round featuring golfing teams Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, Lee Trevino and David Graham, along with Ben Crenshaw and Jerry Pate, being joined by celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Kid Rock, and Mark Wahlberg during the round.
-Sunday’s Final Round will have the first wave teeing off at 7:00 with the second wave going at 11:00 at Top of the Rock. At 10:30, the annual Celebrity Skins Shootout takes place featuring the participants from Saturday’s Legends Competition.
