Troopers Work Two Noon Hour Accidents in Stone County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a pair of accidents during the Noon Hour Monday in Stone County.

The first happened at 12:05 on Highway 265 just west of Branson near the Stone-Taney County Line when a vehicle driven by Reuben Zapata, 24, of Rogersville began to make a left turn and struck a vehicle driven by Laura Kieffer-Konopasek, 50, of Hollister. Zapata was not injured by Kieffer-Konopasek sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

Meanwhile 20 minutes later on the other side of the county, another accident occurred injuring one person. The MHP Accident Report states the accident occurred on Highway 248 three miles west of Galena when a motorcycle driven by 57-year-old Phillip Pritchett of Reeds Spring failed to negotiate a curve, went off the roadway, and overturned. Prictchett was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his moderate injuries.
