C of O Splits Friday Games, Other Results

The College of the Ozarks Baseball team picked up a 5-1 win over Columbia and dropped a 12-2 decision to Bellevue in the Tri-Match Games Friday at Bob Smith Field.

Bellevue, who beat Columbia 10-0 to start the day, picked up six second inning runs and three more in the third to take and keep control of the game against the host Bobcats.

Earlier, C of O had rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to take their game with Columbia as Ryan Daggs blast a fourth inning two run homer to get the lead the the Bobcats added three in the sixth on a Daggs RBI single plus a two RBI single by Bryce Burtless. Jay Kaufman had two hits in each to game for the Bobcats.

Trying to beat the rain, today’s games at C of O are Columbia vs. Bellevue at 9, C of O-Bellevue at 11, and C of O-Columbia at 1:00 with Senior Day Ceremonies to take place between the second and third games.
