Chamber Honors Several People, Organizations at Black Tie Event

The Branson Chamber and Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts its annual Black Tie Gala presented by Mercy last week at the Branson Convention Center which includes ceremonies honoring the winners of the annual awards given out to individuals and organizations have an impact in Branson and the Lakes Region.

The 2019 Ambassador Award went to the late Roy Clark, who’s move to Branson to open his Celebrity Theater in the 1980’s led to many country stars not only performing at the theater but eventually opening their own shows in Branson.

The Pioneer Award went to Carroll and Janice Myer for their and their family’s long standing development of award winning Hotel Properties while the Mary Award went to Paul and Ann Bluto of Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex for their continued growth of their business while also helping out with many charitable causes in the region.

Mona Stafford of BOTT Radio Network was honored with the Community Spirit Award for her efforts in continuing to promote attractions and events in the area with Teen Challenge of the Ozarks honored with the Care for Kids Award and Mercy earning this year’s Beautification Award.
