A Branson high school student, Ben Walworth, has been selected to be one of 100 students in the entire country to go to the 2019 Disney Dreamers Academy. The students go to Disney World in March sure to have some fun, but also to be inspired!

The goal of the program is to inspire youth to be all in – to empower them to pursue their dreams. It’s a 4-day mentorship program – where the students will get to hang out and learn from Steve Harvey and staff from Essence Magazine, a national monthly magazine focused on the experience of black women in our country.

The students also participate in career-oriented workshops to develop communication, networking and leadership skills.

The program will offer the chance to discover new career opportunities – they will also get a chance to see what happens at the parks behind the scenes.

Ben talked to Jenifer Abreu of KOLR-10/Ozarks First about the process of being selected, his involvement in the community and his plans for the future. Click here to see that interview from KOLR-10’s Ozarks Tonight Program.
