As the 100th Session of the Missouri General Assembly is getting underway, two Lakes Area Representatives have been appointed to Leadership in two key committees.
156 State Rep Jeff Justus of Branson has once again been appointed Chairman of the Special Committee on Tourism during his final two years in office. Justus will leave the house due to term limits in early 2021.
Justus will also serve on again this term on the Ways and Means and Workforce Committees.
Meanwhile, newly elected 138 Rep Brad Hudson of Cape Fair has been appointed the Vice-Chair of the Sub-Committee on Appropriations, General Administration.
Hudson in a press release said of his appointment:
“As a Freshman Representative I am humbled at the confidence Speaker Haahr has placed in my leadership ability by giving me this assignment. During my time as a county elected official I worked with staff to utilize technology in a way that improved services and also saved taxpayer dollars. I’m looking forward to using my position on this very important committee to do the same thing at the state level.”
Hudson will also serve on the Tourism Committee as well as Budget and Local Government Committees.
Newly elected 155 Rep Karla Eslinger of Wasola will serve on the Elementary and Secondary Education as well as the Workforce Committees during her first term in office.
