Flood Assistance May Still Be Available for Branson Area

Branson communities affected by flooding in 2017 may still be able to get help.

The state received a little over $100 million in HUD funding for disaster relief, with 80 percent of those funds designated for unmet housing needs in the five most impacted zip codes based on FEMA data gathered by HUD, including Branson.

Officials said the Government Shutdown is affecting how funding will be distributed, which is under review by HUD, however eligible communities can still apply for assistance.
