Authorities in Boone County have identified the man who was killed in a mobile home fire Tuesday in Zinc.
Cody Raulston, 28, was trying to combat the fire with the home owner before the fire department was able to arrive. Witnesses say Raulston went into the burning home in an attempt to save the home owner’s pet dogs. He was not able to make it back out of the home.
Fire crews responded to the home around 6 that night. When they arrived on scene the home was fully engulfed in flames. After extinguishing the fire Raulston’s body was recovered from the scene.
