(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – Governor Parson today announced fifteen appointments to various commissions and offices. Two of those appointments fill vacancies in Stone County government offices.
Wayne Blades, of Crane, was appointed as the Stone County Northern District Commissioner.
Blades is the Pastor of Hilltop Church and is a farmer. He is also retiring as a representative for Palen Music Center after seventeen years. Blades has served on numerous boards, including the Crane School Board, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Stone County Dairy Herd Improvement Association, and Stone County Soil and Water Board.
Matt Daugherty, of Galena, was appointed as the Stone County Assessor.
Daugherty previously served as the Deputy Assessor for the Stone County Assessor’s Office. He has been with the Assessor’s office since 2013. He has taken courses and evaluations through the International Association of Assessing Officers. Daugherty is also a member of the Stone County Historical Society.
The two seats were left vacant when the former office holders resigned to run for other positions.
