According to a press release Kalene Griffith who is the Commissioner of the Arkansas State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission will speak on Wednesday January 30th in the Economic Update Breakfast Series at North Arkansas College. The event will be held in the L.E. “Gene” Durand Center on the North Ark campus.

Her presentation will focus on the economic impact tourism and the state parks play across the state. She will also highlight the impact of the Buffalo National River on the state’s tourism.

                Griffith’s major accomplishments include the redevelopment of the CVB for the City of Bentonville in addition to the Ice Rink/Splash park, the City Wayfinding Program and collaboration with the AACVB to implement the Arkansas Sports partnership with the State of Arkansas. She was appointed to the State Parks and Tourism Commission by Governor Asa Hutchinson in 2015.
