The Public Works Department will close the Eastbound lane of Highway 76 in front of the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center on Wednesday while the Utilities Department installs a new water meter in that area.
The lane closure will start at 8:00 a.m. near the Silver Spur Western Wear parking lot
entrance and continue to the East entrance of the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center. This lane drop will also include the closure of South Francis Street behind the museum. The East entrance to the wax museum will remain open to traffic.
A detour using Ellen Street should be used to access the gateway subdivision. Crews expect the work to be completed in about four hours. The sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians throughout the installation process. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and be aware of workers in the area.
